Sponsor Scripts
It seems now that most of our users have "Sponsors" They pay you money or promote you in return for a brief "plug" on your messages.
Here are just a few ways you can refer to a sponsor.

User Tips
Co-Host with a Mortgage Broker
You can script your Talking House messages for greater listening interest and fun if you co-host your message time with a Mortgage Broker.
After you 've read most of a nice message script, and have really drawn a picture of the
home for prospects, your "co-host" might pipe in with helpful details on financing rates and timing.
You might add something along the following lines near the end of your message:
"This home sure is packed with wonderful features. With me here now is Bob
Smith with Fidelity Mortgage. Bob, what's it going to take to own this fine home?"
Bob: 'Jim, we've got 30 year mortgages available with just 5% down. And rates
are way down from the highs of last year. Based on the list price for the home, monthly
payments with taxes are going to be around $700 per month. We can get someone
approved for a loan in just 24 hrs. If you have any questions about mortgages, just give me
a call. It's Bob Smith, Fidelity Mortgage, 922-1010.'
Jim: Thanks so much for that helpful information, Bob. And if you have any
questions about this lovely home, or would like an immediate tour, just give me a call.
This is Jim Jones, with Jones Talking House Realty. I'm at 922-2020. Thanks again for
listening. And if you missed anything, just sit tight, this message is about to start over."
This kind of back and forth really fits with a radio "feel," and adds credibility. The
Mortgage Broker may split the cost with you for a bunch of Broadcasters. It's great exposure. If
you have a version of this idea you like, please share it with The Newsletter.

Sponsors add credibility
"I went to a bank I do business with, to talk about Talking House. Along with my regular
message, I had a nice 15 second message about the bank recorded on my Transmitter. After I
explained the idea to the bank president, he called everyone in to hear my message.
I decided to do it right, and actually played the message over the radio. After listening
through a couple times, he said 'count me in.'
I signed a 1 year deal, where they buy me more Transmitters, and pay me $480 ($40 per
month) to have their 15 second 'spot' on my 10 Talking Houses.
The best part is the added credibility. When I play a message for sellers during my listing
presentation, I always include that 15 second bank promo. Sellers are very impressed that the bank
sponsors my Talking Houses, and are relieved that buyers can hook right up with the bank for
financing. It makes getting listings even easier!

Sponsor pays for 7 Talking Houses
"I read one of your Newsletter tips on Sponsors, which got me 7 Talking Houses! Thanks
so much.
I usually use the same Banker for my clients. When I mentioned Talking House to loan
agent at that bank, he thought it was a great idea to promote himself. I suggested that I pay the
$299 down on the 7 pack, and he split the $99 monthly payments 50/50 with the Bank. He checked
with his boss, who also thought it was a great idea! In fact, they paid it all up front.
So I got a 7 pack for $299, and they get a great pitch for their services, playing 24hr a day
in 7 Talking Houses. Everyone wins."

Sponsors really pay off
"You were right! 90 seconds is not anywhere near enough time. I have signed up FOUR
Sponsors - a lender, a title company, a termite firm and a home inspector. I give them each 15
seconds on my message. That leaves me 2 minutes out of 3 minutes for the home and a commercial
for me.
The Sponsors each pay me $10 per Talking House per month.
That's $280 each month for 7 Talking Houses. That's over $3300 each year. Sponsors pay for these things almost immediately
-- independant of the edge they give me at listing and selling homes."

How to get a sponsor to pay for your Talking Houses
"I never thought I would be writing with a sponsor success story. When I first got my
Talking Houses, I tried to get a sponsor. Without success. I simply mailed letters to couple local
companies, and didn't catch anyone.
After a recent Newsletter story, and a call to you guys for moral support, I sent out another
small mailing. I used the form letter that comes in the Marketing Handbook. I am happy to report
that I'm now being sponsored by a local insurance agent.
I'll be doing another mailing in the very near future to get a 2nd sponsor, but for now
it's nice to have a wonderful marketing tool at no expense to me, and we both reap the benefits!
Thanks for the pep talk."
